The Decision was adopted on February 28, 2017; it came into force on April 1, 2017.

The Eurasian Economic Commission has stipulated that it is acceptable to produce and distribute electrical and radioelectrical appliances without obtaining the documents of conformity to TR EAEU 037/2016 until March 1, 2020. The use of such equipment will be possible until the end of its lifetime.

To ensure compliance with the requirements of the Regulation the drafts of the documents listed below have to be submitted to the Eurasian Economic Commission until January 1, 2018:

  • program of elaboration (amendments, revision) of inter-State standards on test methods and measures, including sampling rules;
  • the list of technical devices, which must be accompanied by conformity documents, i.e. by a declaration of conformity, to TR EAEU 037/2016 during customs clearance.

Technical Regulation TR EAEU 037/2016 was adopted by Decision No. 113 of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission of October 18, 2016 (published on December 23, 2016). It is going to come into effect on March 1, 2018.

P.S. TR EAEU stands for Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union. It is equivalent to the current abbreviation CU TR (Customs Union Technical Regulation) and is applied to all new regulations that come into force after January 01, 2015.
