During the discussions in the field of technical regulation the board members of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved on May 10, 2016 the decision on the technical regulation on the requirements for liquefied gas implemented as fuel.

In this regulation, the compulsory requirements are stipulated for liquefied gas used as fuel and produced / being in circulation on the territory of the Eurasian Union. The field of application of this gas: public and domestic consumption as fuel, as well as industrial use. This regulation is also applicable to gas used as fuel on automobile transport.

The technical regulation on the requirements for liquefied gas as fuel dwells upon terminology, peculiarities of circulation, marking, the safety of gas and its characteristics. Besides, in the regulation there is a mention about the requirements for conformity assurance, scheme and procedure of conformity assessment of the liquefied gas.

The conformity assessment must only be carried out in the form of Declaration of conformity. In order to be able to register Declarations of conformity, products must be tested in one of the third-party laboratories accredited on the territory of the Eurasian Union. The schemes of conformity assessment (3d, 4d and 6d) do not allow the registering of the Declaration of Conformity on the basis of test results obtained by the manufacturer in his/her own laboratories.
