EAEU technical regulation for high voltage equipment is approved

The regulation on safety of high voltage equipment is planned to come into force on July 1, 2024. The technical regulation applies to the high voltage equipment put into circulation on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and is intended for the production, conversion, distribution of electrical energy or to be used in the transmission of electrical energy

The Federal Law No. 460-FZ in force since June 21, 2021, has revised the requirements for product labeling. From now on, products subject to mandatory conformity assessment according to the Russian national standards (GOST R) or Russian technical regulations need to be labeled with the market circulation mark “STR” instead of the conformity mark “RST”.

The transition period for the optional indication of the GLN code will be extended until September 1, 2021.

In our article of May 24, 2021, CCIS-EXPERTISE informed its readers about the upcoming obligation of indicating GLN and GTIN codes during the registration of Declarations of Conformity (EAC Declarations). On June 21, 2021, the Decree No. 936 of June 19, 2021 of the Government of the Russian Federation officially entered into force, approving the amendments to the procedure for registration of declarations of conformity, including the extension of the transition period for the optional indication of the GLN code until September 1, 2021.

Decree No. 935 of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 19, 2021, modifies the establishment and maintenance of the Unified Register of Certificates (and declarations) of conformity

Following the entry into force of the Decree No. 935 of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 19, 2021, important amendments are provided for the procedure for registration of certificates of conformity, for the procedure for establishment and maintenance of the Unified Register of certificates of conformity. The changes also concern declarations of conformity.

The validity period of State Registration certificates issued before May 5, 2020, and replaced during their validity shall be limited to May 5, 2023.
