On 1 September 2020, new national and international standards for food products, fire safety systems, measurement instruments, machinery, and mechanical equipment, digital technologies, oil and gas pipelines, building materials, as well as for safety and health conditions at the workplace have entered into force in the Russian Federation.

In particular, the current fire safety regulations have been replaced by the new GOST ISO 1927-2-2019 standard "Monolithic (unshaped) refractory products. Part 2. Sampling for testing," which defines the sampling procedure of unshaped refractory products for testing purposes, the GOST standard "Methods for determining the concentration of zirconium dioxide in refractory products and materials ", the GOST R standard "General specifications for sanitary systems in mobile buildings".

In the agri-food sector, the new national product testing standards have been introduced for the following consumer goods:

- carbonated non alcoholic beverages based on plant extracts

- apple juice;

- chocolate;

- canned fish without artificial additives;

- pasteurized milk;

- frozen cod fillet;

- sausages, etc.

Please note that the specifications of the new GOST R standard have been developed by the independent non-profit organisation "Roskatchestvo" and that compliance with these standards is voluntary, but highly recommended.
